If your renovation just involves the basics like some light gardening and basic painting, depending on how much time you have, you may consider doing it yourself.
However, as most renovations don’t just involve having to mow the lawns and giving it a lick of paint, you’ll probably have to get tradespeople in at one point or the other.
So, where do you find tradesmen?
Google, social media, friends, relatives and colleagues will be some of your best sources.
Search what you’re looking for in Google with your suburb and make enquiries.
Search social media hashtags or company profiles to get a gauge for what they do, how they do it and why they’re doing it.
Speak with friends, relatives and colleagues that have had work done recently or in the past.
They might be in the process of getting work done themselves or know people that are getting work done, in the process of getting work done or have had work done.
It doesn’t hurt to ask around.
It may hopefully even give you some better information to make more informed choices yourself through their own experiences.
